Sensata Technologies reports ransomware that encrypted devices and interrupted production

Compiled 2026-09-27 from public records. By the cisonews.net Desk.

Sensata Technologies, a maker of sensors and electrical protection components, disclosed on April 9, 2025 that a ransomware incident on April 6 had encrypted some devices on its network. It took the network offline, and shipping, receiving and manufacturing production were interrupted.

Details from the filing

Sensata said the preliminary investigation found that files had been taken. It was reviewing those files and planned to notify individuals and regulators as required.

On money, Sensata looked at two quarters separately. It did not expect a material effect on results for the quarter ending June 30, 2025, while noting that could change, and it said revenue and earnings for the quarter ended March 31 would land within or slightly above earlier guidance.

Not in the filing

Sensata did not name the ransomware group, say whether a ransom was demanded or paid, or give a restoration timeline.
