Live Nation reports unauthorized activity in a third-party cloud database holding Ticketmaster data
Compiled 2026-09-27 from public records. By the cisonews.net Desk.
Live Nation Entertainment disclosed on May 31, 2024 that it had identified unauthorized activity on May 20 in a third-party cloud database environment containing company data, mostly from its Ticketmaster subsidiary. A week after detection, a criminal threat actor offered what it said was Live Nation user data for sale on the dark web.
What Live Nation reported
The sale offer followed. The company said it was notifying regulators and users as appropriate.
Live Nation used Item 8.01, not Item 1.05, and stated its view on materiality.
Not in the filing
The 8-K does not name the cloud provider, confirm what data was taken, or give a number of affected users. It also does not say whether the data offered for sale was genuine, only that the seller alleged it was Live Nation user data.
