Key Tronic halts US and Mexico production for about two weeks after an intrusion

Compiled 2026-09-27 from public records. By the cisonews.net Desk.

Key Tronic, an electronics contract manufacturer, disclosed on May 10, 2024 that it had detected unauthorized access to parts of its IT systems on May 6. Two amendments later quantified the effect: production stopped in the United States and Mexico for about two weeks, with millions in lost output and added cost.

Initial report

The intrusion disrupted business applications, including financial and operating reporting systems. At that point the company did not expect a material impact.

June 2024 amendment

The first 8-K/A disclosed the production halt. It also said limited data, including some personally identifiable information, had been taken, and that outside experts had cost about $600,000 so far. The company now expected a material effect on its fiscal fourth quarter.

August 2024 amendment

The second amendment gave closing figures for that quarter. Key Tronic said most of the delayed orders would ship in fiscal 2025 and that its operations were restored in mid-June.

Not disclosed

None of the three filings says how the intruder got in or how many people's information was taken.
