Incident · 8-K Item 1.05
CareCloud reports an eight-hour disruption to one electronic health record environment
Compiled 2026-09-27 from public records. By the cisonews.net Desk.
CareCloud, a health care IT company, disclosed on March 27, 2026 that a network disruption on March 16 had partly affected one of its six electronic health record environments for about eight hours. It judged the incident material on March 24 because of the sensitivity of the patient information the environment holds.
What CareCloud said
The company said the incident was contained the same day and attributed it to an unauthorized third party that temporarily had access. It had not yet determined whether patient data was accessed or taken.
The materiality decision rested on potential consequences rather than on operational effect, which CareCloud said was not material. It did not expect a material effect on its finances and believed its insurance was sufficient.
To be determined
CareCloud said it would amend the filing if information required by Item 1.05 became available. No amendment is in the log.
